This role
As the AI Enablement Lead, your mission is to accelerate AI-first adoption across Employment Hero by leading a team of technical enablers, helping the business deliver value through AI-powered solutions, and ensuring we scale with consistency, quality, and speed.
You’ll lead the AI Enablement Team and work closely with domain stakeholders, product owners, and platform teams to turn promising AI use cases into reality.
This role is part delivery lead, part architecture advisor, and part connector – responsible for setting and communicating priorities, helping the team deliver value efficiently, and ensuring internal teams are supported, unblocked, and enabled. You’ll be deeply involved in consulting on tooling, tracking vendor roadmaps, and capturing learnings across the business to inform scalable AI patterns and decisions.
You’ll also play an important role in helping the business interpret and apply EH’s AI-first strategy, embedding AI-first thinking into how teams experiment, build, and adopt.
This will include
Team Leadership & Delivery Enablement
- Lead the AI Enablement Team, including the Enablement Specialist and Integration Specialist
- Prioritise and coordinate team activities across domains, ensuring high-impact work is delivered quickly and aligned with business goals
- Act as a central point of contact for inbound support, triage, and enablement requests related to AI delivery
- Maintain strong communication on team capacity, active engagements, and outcomes
Strategic AI Advisory & Uplift
- Partner with functional leads to advise on AI tooling, solution design, and delivery planning
- Consolidate learnings from across teams and share best practices, reusable frameworks, and emerging insights
- Help guide experimentation in a direction that aligns with strategic platform choices, vendor capabilities, and long-term support models
Vendor & Tooling Management
- Track and maintain understanding of the evolving AI vendor landscape (including core platforms like Relevance.ai, automation and RPA tools, and model providers)
- Support vendor assessments and renewals by contributing technical insight, roadmap awareness, and integration considerations
- Monitor changes in platform capability and communicate impacts or opportunities to stakeholders
AI-First Cultural Leadership
- Promote AI-first thinking across the business by embedding scalable enablement practices and encouraging distributed innovation
- Identify blockers to AI delivery and work with teams to remove friction, especially around data, integration, or platform readiness
- Champion responsible AI usage, with attention to scalability, security, and supportability
Who you are
To thrive at Employment Hero, you’ll need to embody The EH Way – operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, you’ll also bring
- 5+ years in technical product, integration, or architecture roles — with experience leading small technical teams or initiatives
- Hands-on understanding of APIs, automation, SaaS integration, and AI-enablement technologies
- Strong communicator with experience translating technical concepts into business value and prioritisation
- Ability to lead through influence and guide delivery across matrixed, fast-moving environments
- Experience in vendor or platform lifecycle management, including evaluation, technical fit, and roadmap interpretation
- Deep interest in generative AI, automation, and enabling others — with a pragmatic approach to scaling what works
