At Jamf, we believe in an open, flexible culture based on respect and trust. Our track record and thriving work environment all stem from the freedom we grant ourselves to get the job done right. We take pride in helping tens of thousands of customers around the globe succeed with Apple.
The secret to our success lies in our connectivity, while operating with a high degree of flexibility. Work-life balance remains our priority while feeling connected is important to maintain our strong culture, achieve our goals, and thrive as #OneJamf.
This role is remote within Poland. We are only able to accept applications for those based in Poland and have sponsorship to live and work in Poland.
What you’ll do at Jamf:
At Jamf, we empower people to be their best selves and do their best work. You will design, build, and evolve low-level macOS background services (launch daemons) that power Jamf’s App Installers—automating secure, reliable distribution and lifecycle management of third‑party macOS applications at massive scale. Your code runs silently on millions of managed Macs worldwide, enforcing trust, resilience, and seamless user experiences.
As a senior individual contributor, you break down complex customer and platform problems into executable engineering work, produce clear technical designs, and deliver production-quality Swift code leveraging system-level macOS APIs, Swift Concurrency, and interprocess communication (XPC). You champion engineering best practices: testability (XCTest / Swift Testing), observability, performance considerations, reliability patterns, and secure coding.
You act as a subject matter expert for macOS background process architecture within Jamf—mentoring peers, elevating code quality through reviews, and influencing design direction. You collaborate closely with Product, Threat Research, Cloud, and Support to align technical decisions with customer outcomes. You communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, translating constraints, risks, and trade‑offs into actionable direction.
This is a remote‑first role (team presence in Poland and the UK) within a tight-knit, agile group that values psychological safety, iterative delivery, and shared ownership. You help foster an inclusive culture where diverse perspectives strengthen the product.
What you can expect to do in this role:
- Build and maintain macOS background services (launch daemons) in Swift.
- Use Swift, Apple frameworks and APIs to implement new features for App Installers.
- Write unit tests (Swift Testing / XCTest) to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions that impact millions of devices.
