Our voice AI product, built entirely in-house with cutting-edge large language models (LLMs), reaches millions of vehicle owners each month. As the darling startup in the automotive space, we have recently raised our Series A with Andreessen Horowitz and Y Combinator, and are rapidly expanding our customer base.
We’re looking for a Chief of Staff to serve as a force multiplier to our CEO and help lead Toma through this next phase of rapid growth, organizational build-out, and market dominance.
About this Role
Toma is redefining how car dealerships operate with deeply verticalized AI voice agents that automate and optimize millions of customer conversations. As Chief of Staff to our CEO, you’ll serve as a force multiplier — translating vision into execution, driving operational discipline, and enabling the CEO to focus on what matters most. You’ll sit at the center of product, GTM, people, and finance, helping lead the company through its next chapter of rapid growth, org buildout, and market dominance. This is a unique opportunity for a sharp operator to shape how an applied AI company scales in a $2T industry.
Responsibilities

Drive Strategic Alignment: Convert the CEO’s vision into clear priorities, action plans, and execution frameworks across leadership and functions.

Orchestrate Leadership Cadence: Design and run executive meetings, offsites, board prep, and cross-functional reviews — ensuring outcomes are data-driven and aligned.

Own Company Operating Rhythms: Establish systems for goal setting (OKRs), KPI tracking, business reviews, and reporting that promote clarity and accountability.

Enable Internal Communication: Shape company-wide comms including all-hands, CEO updates, and strategy docs that reinforce alignment and mission.

Lead Special Projects: Tackle urgent and high-leverage initiatives — from process design to strategic analysis — often acting as an extension of the CEO.

Model and Scale Culture: Reinforce the values and behaviors that make Toma fast-moving, dealer-obsessed, and high-performing.
Required Qualifications

5–8+ years in high-growth startups, ideally in Chief of Staff, GM, COO, founder, or strategy/operator roles

Proven ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels — from board meetings to team execution

Strong systems thinker with experience building org-wide processes, frameworks, and operating cadences

Exceptional communicator across written, verbal, and async formats

Demonstrated success influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority

High EQ and trusted thought partner — able to earn confidence quickly with executives and team members alike
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a fast pace environment

Familiarity with tools like Linear, Figma, Hubspot and modern data/ops stacks

Background in management consulting, venture-backed startups, or founder/operator paths

Understanding of GTM motions and product development cycles

Comfortable navigating ambiguity and biasing toward clarity and action
