Why Central?

We’re on a mission to kill business bullshit so startups can fly.

Building a company is still way too hard. Founders still have to register in multiple states to run payroll, set up workers’ compensation, pay various payroll-related taxes, deal with intimidating government mail, update addresses across state filings, and troubleshoot with insurance companies.

Who you are:

  •  Proven ability to provide exceptional support to customers with a high degree of empathy

  •  Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. You can explain difficult concepts in simple, clear terms.

  •  Strong project management and organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail, effective time management, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  •  Demonstrated bias for action and desire to continuously learn

  • Wherever you come from, you are at the top of your peer group 

  • 1-2 years experience at a technology company in a support, biz ops or strategy role, consulting firm, or finance firm

What you will do:

  • Deliver fast, clear, and delightful customer support. You will handle support work and triaging with a high degree of responsibility and ownership

  • Create and refine systems and processes to help Central scale

  • Coordinate with various federal, state and local government agencies to help unblock customers

  • Review and manage inbound communications related to state and local tax registrations

  • Leverage internal software tools and spreadsheet software to analyze data and execute tasks

  • Partner with engineering and other teams at Central to help make process and product decisions
