Job-Beschreibung

A career at Booksy means you’re part of a global team focused on helping people around the world feel great about themselves, every day. From empowering entrepreneurs to build successful businesses, to supporting their customers arrange ‘me time’ moments, we’re in the business of helping people thrive and feel fantastic.

Working in an ever-changing, scale-up where things are messy, and resources are limited isn’t for everyone. If you thrive in a stable environment with big budgets, clear processes and structures then, if being honest, we’re probably not for you. However, if you love bringing order to chaos, inventively solving problems, and prioritizing your own path within ambiguity, then you’re likely to love it here.

Role Overview

Our data strategy is to transform Booksy by embedding data-driven decision-making into the heart of our commercial operations. The PL market is one of our largest, and your mission is to be the dedicated analytical partner who fuels its success.

You will be the “co-pilot” to the PL Country Manager, leveraging our new, world-class data platform—built on GCP with a governed semantic layer in Looker—to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that shape local strategy and drive profitable growth.

This is not a back-office reporting role. You will be a proactive, frontline business partner, responsible for transforming our new single source of truth into the strategic intelligence that accelerates our most important market. You will master the art of data storytelling within Looker, owning the highly accurate narrative behind our business performance.

Role Responsibilities

Performance Diagnosis & Storytelling:

  • You will own the full suite of performance reporting for the PL market (WBR/MBR/QBR).
  • Your primary role is to go beyond what happened and use Looker to deliver the compelling story of why it happened, providing actionable insights derived from our single source of truth to the Country Manager.

Commercial & Strategic Partnership:

  • You will act as the primary analytical thought partner to the PL Country Manager and their leadership team.
  • You will model the financial impact of commercial decisions, analyse pricing strategies, and provide the data needed to optimise sales territories and local marketing campaigns.

Forecasting & Planning:

  • You will own the bottoms-up forecasting and planning process for the PL market.
  • Working closely with the FP&A team, you will build and maintain a reliable forecast that consistently achieves a high degree of accuracy, powered by our certified data models.

Deep Market Analysis:

  • You will become the undisputed expert on the performance drivers of the PL market.
  • This includes analysing regional trends, understanding the competitive landscape, and identifying specific provider and consumer behaviours unique to the PL.

Data Democratisation via the Semantic Layer:

  • You will champion our new data platform within the PL team.
  • You will leverage the power and consistency of our governed semantic layer in Looker to build intuitive dashboards that empower the local commercial teams to self-serve highly accurate data, moving them from data requesters to data consumers.

Role Requirements

You are a sharp, business-focused analyst who thrives on turning data into influence and impact. You understand that numbers on a screen are meaningless until they are translated into a clear story that can drive action.

BI Tools & the Semantic Layer:

  • You are an expert user of a modern BI platform, with a strong preference for Looker.
  • You don’t just build charts; you understand how to leverage a governed semantic layer to ensure consistency and accuracy, and you build intuitive dashboards that tell a clear, compelling story.

Expert Analyst & SQL User:

  • You have extensive experience in a commercial or financial analytics role.
  • You are highly proficient in SQL and can easily query and manipulate complex datasets from our GCP data warehouse to find the signal in the noise.

Superb Communicator:

  • You have exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to present complex data and insights to senior, non-technical stakeholders in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.

Financially and Commercially Astute:

  • You understand business fundamentals like revenue, margin, and ROI.
  • You are naturally curious about what drives a business forward and are passionate about connecting data to commercial outcomes.

Proactive & Independent Partner:

  • You are self-motivated and comfortable working independently to support your primary stakeholder.
  • You know how to manage priorities, build strong relationships remotely, and proactively bring new ideas to the table.

Benefits

  • This is a fully remote position, we take pride in being a globally distributed team.
  • Private medical care – terms depends on location.
  • Access to wellbeing tool – Worksmile.
  • Our other benefits will vary due to your location, please ask your talent partner for more detail.
