What You Will Do

Amare Global is looking for a dynamic General Manager for the APAC region to lead our growth initiatives and operations in this rapidly expanding market. The General Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans that drive revenue growth, enhance brand reputation, and ensure operational excellence across various markets in the Asia-Pacific region. This role requires a strong leader who can build relationships with local partners, navigate cultural differences, and adapt global strategies to meet the specific needs of the APAC market. The position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will require frequent travel within the region.

Key Responsibilities

The General Manager for APAC is an important role in our organization’s mission to lead the mental wellness strategy in assigned regions with innovative, efficacious products, further underscoring the brand’s unwavering commitment to fostering mental wellness on a global scale.  This leader is responsible for all operations across APAC, with a focus on growing our businesses, while always improving the experience we offer to our customers and achieving profitability and efficiency.

A primary responsibility and deliverable for this role is to own the vision, strategy and plan for how we will win market leadership in the region. Your leadership team will include leaders that own Sales, Marketing, Analytics, HR, Finance, Strategy, Product, and Customer Success.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a vision for Amare in the APAC region to power prosperity, increase market share and become a wellness provider and employer of choice.
  • Create the durable vision and plan for how we will achieve market leadership in APAC and sustainable profitability
  • Develop and execute a strong framework for the APAC region that diversifies our consumer reach and prioritizes innovative mental wellness solutions.”
  • Oversee and deliver best-in-class strategy that advances commercial operations to drive enrollments, consumer acquisition, retention, and growth in North America while leading education, sales programming, and brand communication. 
  • Drive a mindset of growth, fiscal responsibility, creativity and profitability of our APAC operations.
  • Develop and execute strategies that achieve Amare’s global vision, champion our commitment to innovation, and promote value across operations,
  • Execute regional strategic, business, and marketing plans
  • Consistently increase revenue, enrollments, and over-all growth in the Region
  • Develop, launch and drive sales initiatives, incentives, and promotions
  • Work closely with stakeholders and relevant department heads to increase enrollments, retention, recognition, and improve overall Brand Partner relations
  • Travel throughout the territories as needed to participate in Global Meetings and to train and support Brand Partners, Employees, Leaders and Vendors
  • Manage the organization and execution of meetings, presentations, and other programs to increase enrollment and provide training and education
  • Manage commercial show initiative in sales activities
  • Oversee the budget process, day-to-day operations of the offices in collaboration with the country teams
  • Conduct and report the semi-annual personal and growth assessments of employees
  • Oversee all financial aspect of the business to make sure company funds are properly used and reported
  • Develop and implement long-term strategic plans to drive business growth and market expansion in APAC.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of operations, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and customer support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, distributors, and local authorities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness through streamlined processes and effective resource management.
  • Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and reporting to achieve business targets.
  • Foster a high-performance culture by leading, mentoring, and developing a talented team.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with global teams to align APAC strategies with overall company objectives      
  • Represent Amare Global at industry events and conferences in the region.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree in business, marketing management or other related field or direct industry equivalent work experience MBA preferred.
  • Proven Executive Leadership experience, at least 20 years within the Direct Selling industry and APAC markets within the  health, wellness, or consumer goods industries.
  • At least 20 years of experience directly working in and leading Commercial Functions such as (but not limited to) Marketing, Field and Business Development, Sales Strategies and General Management in the social selling arena for wellness and skincare products.
  • Ability to create Passion, Vision and Drive around Direct Selling Models that enable field and internal teams to achieve Sales Goals and Success.
  • Experience in launching new products, new solutions and/or start-up businesses in the APA region.
  • Proven track record in commercial and general management roles
  • Experience leading leaders, and of complex matrix environment
  • Demonstrated success in driving business growth in the APAC market.
  • Strong understanding of regional market dynamics, cultural nuances, and consumer behavior.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans that align with corporate objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and at least one other APAC language preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with selling and marketing to consumers/ small businesses or mid-market businesses
  • Extensive experience in launching offerings in a new market and scaling a business
  • Background in customer insight, multi-channel marketing, and sales
  • Demonstrated strength in building, motivating, and retaining high-performing teams
  • High tolerance for ambiguity, and embraces challenges
  • A strategic thinker with a data-backed vision, grit, and determination
  • Ability to facilitate feedback, promote cooperation, and identify and solve problems in a timely manner
  • Proven track record inspiring and motivating others, empowering autonomy, and making hard decisions
  • Strong work ethic, accountability, and cost consciousness
  • Ability to travel globally at least 50%
