Our Global Professional Services team is the leading provider in the Sales Performance Management space. We are a dynamic group of consultants, architects, and project managers who take pride in helping our clients get the most out of Varicent products by implementing solutions that meet their unique business and technical needs. Joining our practice means becoming part of a team that’s bold enough to chase experiences – like building, designing maintaining scalable compensation models for our customers, using Artificial Intelligence, captivating Visualizations, and unique and cutting-edge DB concepts. In this role, you will work closely with our clients in many industries such as Financial Services, High Tech, Banking, Manufacturing, Retail, and Insurance to identify, design and configure Sales Performance Management (SPM) solutions to meet their business and technical needs.
What You’ll Do
- Become an expert in designing, building, maintaining, and extending data models in Varicent.
- Quickly learn about how different sales organizations operate, in order to gather and document thorough business requirements.
- Design and build flexible and scalable compensation models using established proven practices.
- Create elegant, user-friendly, and accurate reports, dashboards, input forms, and workflows in Varicent.
- Work with customers to develop testing plans, test cases and scripts.
- Enable your customers to effectively use and maintain their Varicent solution.
- Develop Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes for data preparation.
- Regularly document and communicate project status to the Project Management team.
- Coordinate and communicate with the customer’s project manager and project resources.
- Provide accurate effort estimates for work to be completed and hold yourself accountable for the delivery.
- Assist customers to creatively utilize Varicent features in accordance with best practices to meet their needs.
- Travel to client sites domestically or internationally as required (25-80%).
What You’ll Bring:
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related business discipline.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of software / technical consulting experience.
- An analytical mindset with a keen focus on data.
- Prior experience with Query Based Languages (SQL) and Relational Databases.
- Strong business communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
- Customer-centric – ability to empathize with customers and understand their needs at every stage of the product development.
- High energy with a drive to succeed.
- Initiative and ability to work with minor oversight.
- Availability and willingness to travel.
Success Outcomes
Within 1-3 months, you will:
- Participate in new hire training, bootcamp.
- Ramp up on Varicent delivery methodology and key deliverables.
- Shadow / buddy a more experienced consultant on an ongoing project.
- Develop a good overview of the SPM market, customers, and user personas.
- Be engaged on a full-time project with assigned tasks and deliverables.
- Increase familiarity with key Varicent modules.
- Work with a mentor on an ongoing basis to gain knowledge and expertise.
- Participate in the Test phase of a project to diagnose and resolve defects.
Within 6 months, you will:
- Be responsible for targeted requirements gathering sessions and author Requirements and Design documentation.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions within your immediate and broader teams.
- Complete configuration of intermediate-to-advanced deliverables within a project.
- Stay up-to-date on product improvements.
- Complete Varicent ICM Certification.
Within 1 year, you will:
- Lead smaller-to-medium scale implementation projects through entire life cycle.
- Prescriptively guide customers toward recommended approaches to satisfy requirements.
- Mentor new hires on product implementation and project methodology.
- Present a project success presentation to the larger Professional Services organization.
- Be able to demonstrate the success of your work through internal and customer feedback.
- Become a subject matter expert in several aspects of Varicent Incentives, Sales Planning, and/or ELT.
- Be able to provide accurate product feedback to Project Management teams.
- Provide accurate effort estimates for work to be completed and hold yourself accountable for the delivery.
