MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team. This is a remote position.

The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) is a critical role responsible for managing the cybersecurity posture and accreditation of the system, with a specific focus on its eMASS record. This position works in direct coordination with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the project Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to oversee the security posture of the system.
  • eMASS Management: Serve as the designated Information System Security Officer for the eMASS system of record.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Execute a continuous monitoring program to ensure that 100% of applicable cybersecurity controls are audited over a three-year period. Annually, audit at least a third of controls and ensure the results are integrated into the program’s eMASS record for implementation, compliance, and reporting.
  • Accreditation and Compliance: Participate in accreditation activities to obtain and maintain the program’s Authorization to Operate (ATO). Ensure systems address all system controls and execute A&A and re-authorization activities in accordance with relevant DoD and NIST publications.
  • Vulnerability Management: Maintain the existing ATO while the system is on-premises and work through the accreditation process for the new cloud instantiation of the system. Assist the ISSM by integrating security requirements into system design and processes.
  • Training and Documentation: Comply with and maintain required training, including annual DoD Information Assurance Awareness Training. All contractor employees performing services involving IA/IT functions must comply with DoD and Army training requirements and be appropriately certified upon contract award.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with 1+ years’ of experience with DoD and NIST cyber security requirements.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II (Security+) Certification.
  • Experience with MS Word, MS Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with eMASS.
  • Experience in implementing and monitoring technical, administrative, and operational security controls.
  • Ability to maintain organized and complete records.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and complete tasks on schedule.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship with an active secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $62,300.00-$103,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
