About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded person to help take Bark’s growth to the next level. As a Commercial Analyst at Bark, you’ll have a can-do attitude and be willing to get stuck in and try new things. You will also have strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify what to focus on. A collaborative mindset is important as you’ll be working alongside other teams in the business to achieve our objectives.

Reporting to the Commercial Analyst, this is a key hire right at the heart of the business linking Sales, Commercial and Marketing and a great opportunity for growth for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of strategies to grow existing categories and launch new ones, contributing analysis and recommendations against quarterly growth targets

  • Work closely with performance marketing and sales teams to analyse Buyer and Seller acquisition trends and support profitability targets

  • Maintain category questions and pricing, balancing conversion rate against revenue per conversion to maximise profitability while always being responsive to user feedback

  • Produce regular commercial analysis and insights to inform decision-making across the business

  • Support the delivery of promotional and trading initiatives aligned to country and category growth plans

  • Contribute to commercial projects, taking ownership of defined workstreams and outputs

  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of Bark’s competitors, including their pricing and business models

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong numerical and analytical capability, with confidence working with data to identify trends, test hypotheses, and support commercial decisions

  • Experience using Excel or Google Sheets at an intermediate level, including formulas, pivot tables, and basic modelling

  • Commercial curiosity and an interest in how pricing, acquisition, and conversion drive growth and profitability

  • Ability to prioritise effectively and focus on high-impact tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Clear communicator, comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and other stakeholders

  • High attention to detail, with a structured and methodical approach to work

  • Proactive, self-starting mindset, willing to take ownership and learn quickly

Bonus!

  • 1 year of experience in an analytical, commercial, or operational role, or a relevant internship or placement

  • Exposure to performance marketing metrics, pricing analysis, or sales data

  • Experience working with dashboards or data visualisation tools

  • Ability to speak French and/or German
