About the TeamThe Outside Account Management team at DoorDash partners with restaurant merchants to help them grow simply and profitable on the platform. Our mission is to support merchants throughout their journey – ensuring a positive experience while also helping them unlock meaningful growth opportunities. We work closely with merchants to understand their goals, solve operational challenges, and recommend growth strategies that fit their business – balancing thoughtful partnership with commercial impact. About the RoleAs a Manager, Outside Account Management, you will own the performance, development, and execution of a regional team of Strategic Partner Managers responsible for growing and retaining DoorDash’s most important local merchant relationships. You will play a central role in shaping how we partner with merchants in your region — driving sustainable growth, improving merchant satisfaction, and ensuring our teams execute consistently against regional and company-wide priorities. In this role, you will balance people leadership with strategic problem-solving. You will coach and develop high-performing account managers, establish strong operating rhythms, and partner cross-functionally to unlock new growth opportunities for merchants and the DoorDash marketplace. As a member of the Local Team, you will help build DoorDash’s competitive advantage by winning and growing the best merchants in each city while maintaining a high bar for execution and relationship quality. You will work closely with regional and central partners across Merchant Operations, Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Sales to translate strategy into action, bring new products to market, and continuously improve the merchant experience. This role reports to a Senior Manager within the regional Outside Account Management organization. This role requires traveling within your region (~2-4 times per quarter) to support your team and merchant partners, with additional time working remotely or from a DoorDash office. In addition, this role will require the ability to travel as needed for in-person collaboration through trainings, offsites, team-building events, and other business related necessity.
