Role Summary:
This position will support Electrify America and subsidiary in expansion of charging network infrastructure and related activities.
Key areas of responsibility will be the controllership function over charging network investment, including construction of new charging stations, equipment maintenance, related inventories and leasing arrangements. This position is responsible for ensuring that costs are properly planned, controlled, accounted for and analyzed; in adherence to accounting standards and corporate policies.
Role Responsibility:
Network Investment – 50%

Provide controllership over capital budgets related to the charging infrastructure, ensuring alignment with strategic goals

Provide first-level oversight of accounting services to ensure the proper recordkeeping of network related accounting transactions and expenses, including month-end accruals
-
Ensure accuracy of financial reporting through completion of the internally developed fixed asset checklist
-
Conduct timely and insightful analysis of charging infrastructure investments, inventory balances, and related expenditures, identifying key financial trends and risks, and discussing findings with the supervisor

Provide controllership over designated operating budgets, including site acquisition, supply chain, equipment warranty, as well as other assigned categories

Monitor accuracy of site related depreciation and other non-operating costs, proactively identifying discrepancies and resolving issues in coordination with the supervisor and business unit stakeholders

Ensure adherence to budgeted/forecasted spending throughput participation in procurement activities

Support procurement activities by providing financial guidance, conducting first-level approval of expenditures, and ensuring adherence to budgeted/forecasted spending

Participate in Request for Proposal (RFP) and award activities, ensuring financial feasibility and risk mitigation in vendor selection, with input from the supervisor

Facilitate timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices, management of pre-payments and deposits
Financial Planning & Reporting – 20%

Work collaboratively with business units and supervisor to develop annual budgets and regularly update forecasts, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals
-
Provide proactive insights into actual variances and anticipated deviations from capital and operating plans, enabling strategic decision-making in collaboration with the supervisor
-
Participate in developing accurate capital investment planning inputs, including precise cash flow forecasts and funding requirements

Ensure charging infrastructure related expenditures are properly reflected within the financial reports
-
Prepare and submit accurate management reports in a timely manner
Audit and Compliance Support – 20%

Support internal and external audits, through submission of requested materials, responses to audit inquiries, and compliance with financial regulations,

Maintain accurate recordkeeping of charging site designation, as required by the Zero Emission Vehicle Investment Plan

Supporting Tax and Treasury functions on network related topics.
Special Projects – 10%

Contribute to special projects related to financial analysis, process optimization, and technology enhancements, driving operational efficiency

Contribute to scenario analysis and business case development, as requested by supervisor
-
Collaborate in process improvement initiatives, including future software implementations and system enhancement
Qualifications
Years of Relevant Experience:
- 5-10 years of relevant experience
Education (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline

Controlling, accounting or equivalent function experience in electric vehicle charging or construction industries

Proven experience in completing budgeting and forecasting projects

Strong analytical and data management skills, perform financial analysis using multiple data sources

Finance experience in business case generation, analysis & financial optimization

Ability to act as a liaison with business units and stakeholders

Work cross-functionally with internal and external partners on complex, multipart projects

Proven experience in supporting internal and external audits

Experience with financial & accounting software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams skills
Specialized Skills (Desired):

Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

Salary range is dependent on factors such as geographical differentials, industry-based experience, skills, training, credentials, and other qualifications.
In the state of California, the salary range is $113,000 – 152,600.
In the state of Colorado, the salary range is $113,000 – 152,600.
In the state of Washington, the salary range is $113,000 – 152,600.
In New York City, the salary range is $135,600 – 183,100.
In Westchester County, the salary range is $135,600 – 183,100.
In the state of Rhode Island, the salary range is $113,000 – 152,600.
