Job Description

Montu is looking for a proactive and collaborative People Advisor to join our People Team. Reporting directly to the People Partner, you will provide guidance and support to employees and team leaders across your portfolio, helping drive Montu’s end-to-end people partnering approach. Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to employees and team leaders on performance management, leave, policy interpretation, employee relations, and other HR matters.
  • Support the People Partner and portfolio leaders in setting objectives, conducting performance evaluations, and addressing attraction, retention, and performance issues.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders to support people strategies and programs.
  • Ensure HR activities comply with Montu’s policies, legislation, and internal procedures.
  • Assist with HR initiatives and projects, driving continuous improvement and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Support change management initiatives, including communications, training, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage performance, disciplinary, and development processes within your portfolio in alignment with organisational goals.
  • Participate in the development and review of HR policies, procedures, and broader People Team projects.
  • Collaborate with the People Operations team to implement new processes and updates supporting your portfolio.
  • Provide coverage across portfolios as needed to ensure consistent HR support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or equivalent, with 3–5 years’ experience in a generalist HR Advisor role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR legislation, policies, awards, and industrial instruments.
  • Experienced in managing cyclical HR processes, performance management, and employee relations matters.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management with exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Technically proficient in digital HR systems and online collaboration tools.
  • Flexible, pragmatic, and solutions-focused with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits or team offsites.

At Montu, we value collaboration, growth, and making a meaningful impact. If you’re a passionate HR professional looking to take your career to the next level, we’d love to hear from you.
