Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of BESS to confirm quality conformance to specifications and quality deliverables.
- Support Project Execution and supply chain in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels as well as environmental and health and safety goals/KPIs.
- Facilitate Factory Acceptance Tests of equipment, review testing protocols and reports.
- Perform Site inspections monitoring quality issues and reporting back to management.
- Improve on existing system to record, track, and follow-up on field quality issues during Commissioning and in Service phase of the project.
- Analyze and investigate equipment quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
- Ensure audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement culture.
- Partner with leadership on scaling operations, localization, and new BESS project launches.
- Develop or update company quality assurance and inspection procedures, best practices, checklists etc.
- Develop and improve Quality policies and procedures for the European Project Execution team in accordance with ISO guidelines.
- Organize regular internal dissemination briefings for updates on company QA policies
Requirements
- Relevant engineering degree or qualifications.
- At least 4 years’ experience in quality assurance and inspection of electrical equipment in the context of Solar PV and/or Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
- Must have experience with equipment Factory testing and Site inspections.
- Must have familiarity with ISO9001 guidelines.
- Enthusiastic about setting up process from scratch and follow up with continuous improvement mindset.
- Preference to be familiar with relevant UK and International electrical standards, Regulations and Legislation (BS 7671, 18th edition, IEC etc).
- Organized, meticulous with technical understanding on storage systems, electrical standards and regulations.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic conditions and stay focused/execute on goals under tight deadlines.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with ability to interface with multiple parties (contractors, suppliers, client representatives).
- Excellent MS Office capabilities.
- Must be willing and able to travel regularly in support of existing & new Energy Storage fleet.
- Passion for your work, strong communication skills, a flexible and positive attitude, structured and dedicated way of working.
- Fluent in English, Chinese is a bonus. Other European languages are a plus.
