Inviting applications for the role of Record to Report – Domain Trainee – French – Remote EMEA
Role: The OC (Operational Controllership) teams provide support for our client’s financial activities of its affiliates across 31 countries in Europe working closely with the
local/regional business controllership teams. Service scope includes preparatory and closing activities in areas like Compensation & Benefit, Supply Chain, Fixed Asset, Cash &
Banking, Intercompany VAT and STAT. This is an excellent opportunity to have a complex overview of the accounting of a global company. As an Accountant you can be a part of a large and friendly team.
Responsibilities
• Manage and perform US GAAP/ IFRS general accounting activities on behalf of local Businesses.
• Perform activities required for month-end closing according to the respective business deadlines.
• (Preparing and posting Manual Journal Entry, running reports, performing reconciliation) according to the respective business deadlines
• Prepare monthly / quarterly balance sheet account reconciliation and ensure that open items are accurately closed. ·
• Provide audit support in accurate and timely manner ·
• Support the statutory team providing details for preparation of statutory accounts for the respective client business ·
• Maintain good working relationship with the local operation and controllership team, internal & external audit teams and FP&A. ·
• Preparing the VAT declarations and the accounting journals when required
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field
• · Accounting experience in a multi-GAAP environment or / and country specific knowledge of taxation (VAT and CIT) & accounting rules applicable from country-to-country if applicable ·
• First experience of closing the books, ideally in an international environment or in the R2R function of an SSC ·
• Witten and verbal fluency in English and French language
• Effective interpersonal skills when dealing with country affiliates & business partners
• Highly organized with demonstrated ability to meet commitments within strict deadlines
• Analytical skills

• Flexible approach with a strong team spirit
