Job-Beschreibung

Shopmonkey is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead our platform architecture, developer experience, and infrastructure initiatives. You will own the technical product strategy for our internal developer experience (CI/CD, tooling), public developer experience (APIs, webhooks, Enterprise Data Streaming), and platform reliability (SRE). This role requires deep technical understanding, strong product sense, and the ability to bridge technical complexity with business value. You will work closely with engineering teams, DevOps, external developers, and customer-facing departments to ensure our platform scales reliably while providing exceptional developer experiences.

Responsibilities

Platform Architecture & SRE:

  • Define and execute the technical roadmap for platform reliability, scalability, and performance
  • Set goals and metrics for driving SRE initiatives related to monitoring, alerting, incident response, and DR
  • Drive a platform architecture roadmap that balances technical debt, performance, and business needs
  • Establish and maintain SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets for critical platform services
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize cloud costs and resource utilization

Internal Developer Experience:

  • Own the CI/CD pipeline strategy and tooling to accelerate development velocity
  • Define developer productivity metrics and drive improvements in build times, deployment frequency, and lead time
  • Lead initiatives to improve code quality, testing automation, and development workflows
  • Partner with engineering teams to identify and resolve developer pain points
  • Establish best practices for code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing

Public Developer Experience:

  • Develop and execute the roadmap for public APIs, webhooks, and Enterprise Data Streaming (EDS)
  • Define API design standards, versioning strategies, and developer documentation
  • Lead developer portal initiatives and developer community engagement
  • Establish API usage analytics, rate limiting, and security policies
  • Work with enterprise customers to understand integration needs and requirements

Cross-functional Leadership:

  • Lead technical product strategy sessions with engineering leadership and architects
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure platform capabilities support feature development
  • Partner with sales and customer success to understand enterprise integration requirements
  • Drive technical evangelism and thought leadership for Shopmonkey’s platform capabilities

We are looking for people who have

  • 6+ years in technical product management, platform engineering, or software architecture roles
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, microservices architecture, and distributed systems
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, monitoring systems, and developer productivity platforms
  • Strong background in API design, developer experience, and platform-as-a-service concepts
  • Demonstrated success shipping complex technical products in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent technical communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
  • Experience with automotive or B2B SaaS platforms is a plus
  • Familiarity with modern development tools (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, etc.), monitoring platforms (DataDog, New Relic, etc.), and product tools (Linear, etc.)
  • Ability to travel periodically for customer visits and technical conferences

In the United States the range is typically a salary of $130,000 to $160,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. The range provided is Shopmonkey’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities. Consult with your Recruiter during the initial call to determine a more targeted range based on these job-related factors. In addition to this base compensation company stock options and benefits as outlined below are included.
