Merakey is seeking a visionary and strategic Senior Vice President (SVP) of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) to lead one of the organization’s most critical and expansive divisions. This top-tier executive role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for overseeing all operational, financial, and strategic aspects of the IDD Division—serving more than 4,500 individuals with a workforce of 5,500 and generating $250M+ in annual revenue across four states.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic planning, innovation, and business development initiatives for the IDD Division.

  • Oversee performance, service delivery, and financial viability of all IDD programs, including joint ventures.

  • Ensure full compliance with all accreditation, ethical, and regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with industry leaders, regulatory agencies, and community partners to grow Merakey’s presence and impact.

  • Develop and retain high-performing teams; build a culture of excellence, accountability, and inclusion.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will require the following qualifications: 

  • A Master’s Degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Mental and Behavioral Health Services
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience with large, complex organizations providing advanced services to a diverse population consisting of both children and adults. 
  • 10+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, drive results, and expand services aligned with organizational mission.

  • Deep understanding of the I/DD marketplace, service trends, and regulatory landscape.

  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong personal commitment to improving the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

  • This position is remote with travel required across service areas; however, qualified candidates must live within one of the following states to be considered (PA, DE, FL, MD, TX, VA).
