Your Impact

As a Strategic Account Executive for Air products (drones and counter-drone solutions), you will partner closely with the Key Account Leader to drive complex, high-impact engagements with State Patrol agencies, helping them deploy drone, counter-drone, and Drone as First Responder (DFR) solutions. You’ll serve as a strategic advisor to senior public safety leaders while managing critical partner relationships—including Axon’s Skydio partnership—to deliver integrated, real-time operational outcomes. This role offers significant autonomy and cross-functional influence as you help scale one of Axon’s most strategic public safety initiatives.

What You’ll Do

Location: Remote in territory, must live within 1 hour of a major airport
Territory: Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Wisconsin
Travel: 60% minimum
Reports to: Sales Director

  • Develop and execute multi-year account strategies aligned to Axon’s organizational goals and customer missions
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert and strategic advisor for Axon’s Air solutions, articulating complex, technical value propositions to executive-level stakeholders
  • Lead complex, end-to-end sales cycles including prospecting, discovery, solution design, negotiation, and close across multiple agencies and buying groups
  • Influence and coordinate cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Marketing, Operations) to deliver differentiated, high-impact solutions
  • Identify market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer intelligence to inform leadership, product strategy, and future offerings
  • Drive accurate forecasting, pipeline health, and revenue performance using Salesforce and internal tools
  • Mentor and support less-tenured sellers by sharing best practices, deal strategy, and territory insights
  • Represent Axon as a trusted partner in the public safety ecosystem, reinforcing the company’s mission to protect life

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic, consultative sales roles managing large, complex accounts
  • Proven success owning and growing multi-state or multi-region territories with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to sell complex technical solutions (SaaS, cloud, data, or hardware-enabled platforms preferred)
  • Experience influencing executive stakeholders and navigating long, sophisticated procurement cycles (public sector experience strongly preferred)
  • Advanced sales acumen including territory strategy, forecasting, competitive analysis, and revenue management
  • Strong understanding of drone technology, cloud platforms, and real-time data systems (or ability to ramp quickly)
  • Track record of cross-functional leadership and collaboration without formal authority
  • Willingness to travel extensively (60%+)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
