About this job

The SVP will be responsible for developing the business strategy while meeting financial targets globally and in local countries for the Packaging and Public Sector verticals. This position will lead global, remote teams that are responsible for securing new business, renewing existing clients and performing all sales activities and account management throughout the sales cycle. In addition to leading a global team, this person will also be responsible for working with regional teams to optimize revenue. 

The Packaging and Public Sector verticals are newer businesses to NIQ, focused on delivering high-margin growth to NIQ. The Packaging vertical sells to companies that make, design or provide consumer insights on packaging to FMCG manufacturers. The Public Sector vertical includes government agencies, non-profits, academia, government/public funded research and healthcare. NIQ is uniquely positioned to win due to our breadth and depth of solutions, data quality, differentiated and best-in-class product attribution and FMCG expertise. 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement the commercial strategy for each vertical, consistent with NIQ’s broader goals and objectives. 

  • Lead and develop high-performing sales teams, cultivating a culture of growth and engagement. 

  • Own financial oversight including accurate forecasting, financial planning, and setting & measuring performance metrics. 

  • Partner with Market Leaders and Specialty Sales Leaders to develop and implement sales strategies to meet global and country-level financial targets. 

  • Leverage and collaborate across NIQ internal functions (Product, Operations, Legal, Contracts, Marketing, Finance, etc.) to effectively support and execute sales strategies. 

  • Provide the Voice of the Customer and competitive intelligence to advocate for the verticals, drive solution innovation and continuous improvement of business processes. 

  • Contribute to reporting/tracking of strategic initiatives and leadership presentations when required. 

  • Support and participate in team and corporate growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in a sales leadership role, with direct management of quota carrying sales associates. 

  • Expertise in developing operational sales excellence to include talent assessments, forecasting, pipeline management, and succession planning. 

  • Strong understanding of the FMCG industry, syndicated data, data analytics, SAS business model. Experience in Packaging or the Public Sector is a plus. 

  • Strong track record in proven performance selling both subscription and ad-hoc businesses. 

  • Track record of developing, executing and delivering sales strategies; consistently meeting or exceeding targets. 

  • Demonstrated experience with recruiting and developing high-performance sales teams. 

  • Polished, persuasive verbal and written communication skills; executive-level engagement. 

  • Adept at high-stakes negotiations. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective, collaborative relationships. 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 

  • High proficiency in Microsoft tools including PowerPoint, Dynamics, Excel, Word 

Preferred location: Any location in US

Travel expectations: Up to 45% 

Additional Information

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $145,500.00 – $280,00.00. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
