Join us as a Working Student Transport Modeling (m/f/d) in our Mobility Consulting team and help shape the future of autonomous mobility!

The mobility consulting team offers extensive expertise on the subject of ridepooling and new mobility and thus has a lasting influence on future developments within and outside our organization. We use data and model-based approaches, innovative research and convincing presentation and processing of our findings to work at the highest standard and deliver quality to our various stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Support in running and analyzing agent-based mobility simulations. 
  • Test and document newly developed simulation features. 
  • Assist our consulting team in preparing presentations and visualizations.
  • Contribute to designing (and possibly implementing) new ridepooling service features in our simulation pipeline. 
  • Opportunity to contribute to a variety of tasks in customer-facing projects based on your interests and strengths. 
  • Option to write your bachelor’s or master’s thesis at MOIA.

Job responsibilities and detailed projects will be determined based on your educational background, interests, and skills.

What will help you to fulfill your role 

  • You are currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s or Master’s program, preferably related to Data Science, Data Analytics, Mobility, Transportation, or Informatics.
  • To support your personal development and for you to take ownership of projects and processes, you should be enrolled for at least one year.
  • Strong interest in working with data, models, and simulations
  • Proficient in a data science programming language like Python or R.
  • Interest in conducting studies and literature reviews

Nice-to-have:

  •  Object-oriented programming language, preferably Java
  • First experience in transport models, preferably with the open-source framework MATSim.
  • First experience in GIS programs (ArcGIS or QGIS).
